Ariel Cornwall, RDH, BSDH is a Registered Dental Hygienist, educator, and oral health advocate whose work centers on advancing preventive care, patient education, and clinical excellence within the dental hygiene profession. Since 2018, she has cultivated a multifaceted career shaped by diverse clinical experience, strong academic preparation, and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care.
Grounded in the belief that prevention begins with education, Ariel has guided dental hygiene students and emerging clinicians as they strengthen their clinical judgment, refine their skills, and step confidently into the profession. Her ability to connect clinical excellence with meaningful communication has established her as a valued resource for patients, students, and dental professionals alike.
Beyond the operatory and classroom, Ariel brings intentional focus to the importance of self-care within the dental profession. She addresses the often-overlooked realities of burnout and promotes a more sustainable model of practice—one that encourages balance, self-awareness, and longevity while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Ariel is also the author of the educational children’s book “The Story of Happy Tooth and Sad Tooth,” created to introduce foundational oral health concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Her outreach efforts have extended across multiple communities and countries, where she has led initiatives aimed at expanding oral health education and increasing access to preventive resources.
In her role as a Dental Hygiene Instructor, Ariel is committed to developing clinicians who are not only technically skilled, but also confident, reflective, and prepared to navigate the evolving demands of the profession. Her approach to education integrates clinical precision with a broader awareness of the personal demands placed on healthcare providers.
Ariel’s work is guided by a clear and purposeful vision: to integrate self-care with high-quality patient care, recognizing that the strength of the profession depends on the health and sustainability of those within it. She affirms, “To truly live well, we must treat the smile, nurture the spirit, strengthen the body, and let advocacy become the heartbeat of wellness.”
